So what are the free and open source blogging options?

My favorite is obviously wordpress (this site being created on that). But competition is the mother of progress, so here is a list of free and open blogging solutions available (reviews later). Although content management systems also provide blogging capabilities, I am listing only those which are primarily blog publishing softwares and are available for free download and install:
