My dad’s trying to install this software in UK, while I am in US. How can I help him for free? Can I access his desktop and install the software for him?

Yuuguu is a free screen sharing software. The free version allows you to share your screen with upto 30 people at the same time (more than enough!). The greatest feature I love about is that you can pass the control of your desktop to any of the participant. You can even invite users to see your desktop on the web (so almost no download for them).  Although as the presenter you would definitely have to download the Yuugu software. Here is some of the great ways you can use Yuuguu:

- Web conferencing: Call in your friends and share a presentation right from your desktop – which means flexibility. If you are done with presentation, open a document or just work on the google document you wanted to share with them all.

- Remote support and assistance: It works great for me when my dad’s computer has a problem and he needs help. I just request him to give me access and then I can try to fix his computer almost as if I am working right there. Just remember not to try to repair his internet connection . With yuuguu you cannot get remote control of any PC like in VNC, the user has to allow access to you.

- Education: If you are a private tutor and want to explain something real quick to a student, you dont need to schedule a new session and wait for the student to join in (that takes time and hassle), just share your screen real quick and go ahead.

The best thing I liked about this software is its ease of use. Its like most chat softwares available online like google talk and yahoo messenger. People take to it easily.

What I would like to see: VOIP : voice chat. Without VOIP it becomes difficult to communicate especially if the participants are located internationally [conference calling doesnt help]. It would also be good to see better speed and some session recording features built in. A few times my sessions ended abruptly, so a little more consistency would be icing on the cake.
